Bridewell Gardens are a unique mental health charity based in West Oxfordshire. Appcentric were tasked with designing a new Umbraco site that would support the charity as it continued to grow its service offering in the coming years.
The Client
Bridewell Gardens provide therapeutic horticulture in a rural location in West Oxfordshire. The charity supports sufferers of mental health by creating a safe environment for them to learn new skills and build self esteem and confidence, all in a peaceful outdoors setting.
The Brief
Bridewell Gardens required a new website that was sympathetic to their offering and allowed them to communicate more clearly with volunteers, gardeners and fundraisers.
The website needed to be well designed and built on a secure and extensible framework.
The Solution
Appcentric were delighted to be selected to support such a fantastic charity whose work is so important in and around Oxfordshire. We worked closely with the team at Bridewell Gardens to understand their goals for the new website and the needs of the different website visitors.
Our design team helped map out a flow for the new site ensuring Volunteers, Fundraisers, Corporate supporters and Ultimately the Gardeners themselves could find the information they needed quickly and efficiently.
Appcentric design custom icons and graphics for the site to add subtle design queues that helped represent the beautiful setting of the gardens and the work that the charity carries out day to day.
The new site was built using Umbraco to provide an easy to use and secure CMS, utilising Microsoft Philanthropic credits to cover all hosting costs, ensuring Bridewell Garden's funds can be focused where they are most needed.
